Dr. Maya Kobeissi

Maya Kobeissi has over eleven years of experience as a clinical nutritionist in Canada and the UAE. She is a Member of the Professional Order of the Dietitians of Quebec in Canada and the Canadian Obesity Network.

 Maya graduated from the University of Montreal in Canada with a BSc in Nutritional Science. She was trained at the Saint-Justine Mother and Child University Hospital Center and at the Montreal Heart Institute, where she has worked and supervised nutrition students. She has extensive experience working in General Pediatrics, Obesity, Eating Disorders, Genetics, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology-Hepatology, Obstetrics and Neonatology, Cardiac Surgery and Critical Care.
Upon moving to Dubai in 2012 she served as the Director of Weight Loss Programs at Dr Badsha’s Medical Center and worked closely with medical specialists providing nutrition counselling for patients with arthritis and obesity. She has been the guest expert in a weekly television show on MBC 3. She frequently serves as a nutrition expert at national meetings, industry-sponsored nutrition and health campaigns, and on radio and television shows.
